Lata Mangeshkar’s voice is as sweet as a rose. It’s fresh and very young. I am not a big fan of Lata Mangeshkar, I feel she is not completely involved in the songs. She sings with an isolated, hollow feeling which leaves a lot to be desired. This song is no exception, I feel Lata doesn’t bring out the pain that this song deserves. Still, it’s a good song. A must have in your collection if you are a Lata fan or a fan of soulful, melodious Hindi oldies.
